There's nothing better than a juicy burger, and the 4th of July is a great time to upgrade your traditional 1/4 or 1/3 lb. patty and make it extra-ordinary. Our Outta The Park Burger recipe is perfect for those times when you want to change things up and take your burger beyond the standard lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun.
Here's how to make your burgers Outta The Park:
Mix Outta The Park BBQ Sauce and finely diced red onion into your fresh ground beef before cooking. Use approximately 1 teaspoon of sauce per patty and add onions and salt & pepper to taste. Make your patties and grill them to desired doneness. While grilling your meat, you can also slice a portabello mushroom and grill that too, brushing on some Outta The Park BBQ Sauce near the end of your cook time.
Make a nice stack on a toasted whole grain bun with mayo on the bottom bun, then lettuce, then a touch of mayo and slice of heirloom tomato, salt and pepper each layer. Add your burger next and red onions, drizzle some Outta The Park Sauce on at this point, then top that with the portabello (optional) and ba-bam, there's one seriously extra-ordinary, juicy and succulent burger. Made Outta The Park style. And it's perfect for impressing your friends at your July 4th gatherings.
PS: and yes, feel free to add cheese and pickles and choose a sesame seed bun!
