Outta The Park® BBQ Sauce Adds More Organic Ingredients – Booth 212

(Sept. 22, 2011) Outta The Park Eats has increased the percentage of organic ingredients in their award-winning line of BBQ Sauces by converting several additional spices to organic. The company has used organic ketchup and garlic powder in their recipes since the first batch was made in 2009, and this summer they began incorporating organic paprika, onion powder and other spices to as part of their commitment to using clean, sustainably grown ingredients. By the end of 2011 they will have converted all the added spices to organic.

“Our commitment to customers has been and will continue to be to make our products as organic and as sustainably produced as possible while still keeping prices affordable on grocery shelves,” said Beth Granai, who co-founded the company with her husband Scott. The company’s standard has always been to use non-irradiated spices and to choose organic ingredients when cost-effective. “With our volume growing, we can now source more organic spices and naturally we’re doing that – it’s better for people, the planet and for our customers.”

Clean Ingredients, Homerun Taste

Both varieties of Outta The Park BBQ Sauce - Original and Hot & Spicy - offer all natural, non-GMO ingredients and contain no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. They also taste great according to Gourmet Food Writers, Competition Judges and BBQ enthusiasts, all of whom have recognized Outta The Park Sauces as "Best of the Best," "10 Best BBQ Sauces," "1st Place All Natural (2010 Scovie Award)," and "5-Star BBQ Sauce” in assorted reviews and competitions.

“A lot of times you’ll try a sauce that tastes good, but when you look at the label you need a chemistry degree to read it,” said Scott. “Or you might find a sauce made with clean ingredients, but it tastes bland. Outta The Park BBQ Sauces give people what they really want - clean ingredients AND great taste. And the response from customers has been fantastic.”

The ingredient changes will be reflected on product labels beginning in late Q4 2011. Outta The Park will be exhibiting with other companies in Booth #212 in the NC Department of Agriculture pavilion. The company invites all attendees to visit their tasting station to experience Clean Ingredients and Homerun Taste for themselves.
