It's Our 3rd Anniversary! Pinterest Photo Contest Announcement

(August 13, 2012) Three years ago today, the very first bottle of North Carolina-made Outta the Park BBQ Sauce came off the production line. To celebrate our 3rd anniversary, we have teamed with Dobango, a social media and gaming company to launch a “Feed Your Crowd Photo Contest” on the Pinterest social media platform. Contest details and an entry form will be shared in time for the contest start date of Aug. 15th.

The Grand Prize winner will receive a $500 Gift Card from Whole Foods Market, and there will be daily $20 gift card prizes from igourmet.com. “Plus igourmet.com will send a free bottle of Outta the Park Original BBQ Sauce to each of the daily winners when they redeem their gift cards,” said Beth Granai.

“We have distributed more than 60,000 bottles of our award-winning, all natural BBQ sauce since our inception and we want to celebrate that accomplishment, thank our customers and inspire further growth of our brand with a national Dobango-powered contest that anyone can participate in,” said Scott Granai. “All that is needed is a Pinterest account and then folks can enter their photos showing great food and fun times for a chance to earn votes and win great prizes.”

The contest will run from Aug. 15-24, 2012, and is open to residents of the 48 contiguous US states.

About Outta the Park Eats Inc.
Scott and Beth Granai of Cary, NC, formed Outta the Park Eats, Inc. as a family business in 2009 to bring their kitchen creation to market. Scott first made their award-winning sauce while cooking dinner one night, and Beth was confident his healthier version of the sweet and tangy sauce America loves would be a homerun in the marketplace.

Formerly career technology salespeople, the couple transitioned full-time to the food industry and now enjoy the challenges of business ownership and the rewards of sharing their sauces with people who love great tasting food. Double digit growth each year has been fueled by the growing number of consumers who are reading labels and are concerned with ingredients, but aren’t willing to sacrifice flavor. Outta the Park sauces score big on both fronts.

“Clean ingredients and great flavor have been the driving force behind the business since day one,” said Beth Granai. “Outta the Park sauces contain no high fructose corn syrup, no MSG, and no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.” Available in Original and Hot & Spicy varieties, the sauces feature a zesty signature blend of fresh chile peppers and ginger. Outta the Park sauces also contain many organic ingredients including ketchup, stone ground mustard and spices. Gourmet food writers, competition judges and BBQ enthusiasts have recognized Outta the Park Sauces as "Best of the Best", "10 Best BBQ Sauces", "1st Place All Natural" and "5-Star BBQ Sauces.”

Outta the Park BBQ Sauce is available online and at nearly 300 retail outlets across the US including all Whole Foods Market stores in the South region, many in the Mid-Atlantic, Earth Fare locations across North and South Carolina and at numerous specialty and natural retailers and co-ops. The retail price ranges from $4.99-$6.99 per bottle. To view a complete list of retailers, please visit the company’s website: www.OuttaThePark.com.
